Export Path® provides assistance with export & investment financing. We work with partner banks and lending institutions to assist small businesses. Financing is covered in Phase II of the process. Specifically, financing is provided for well developed products, processes or services, based on reliable market intelligence developed in Phase I (Access To Information). These products or processes must meet well defined quality and operational benchmarks outlined in the market intelligence report (and other working documents) and specified with due regard for regulatory and competitive demands. Financing is typically provided to enable intending exporters manufacture the intended products as well as cover logistics and associated operating expenses. Support also exists for service-based offerings. While there are basic documentation requirements, every effort is made to reduce the burden on businesses by streamlining the application and draw-down process. (For a convenient tri-fold brochure that describes how Export Path® can assist businesses seeking financial assistance, click here.) HOWEVER, to access the funding, companies MUST first develop high-quality salable products or bankable projects. While every effort will be made to assist a prospective investor or exporter with market entry, it is important to point out that Phase I (Access To Information) is the gateway to financing UNDER ANY CONDITION. A well planned and thoroughly understood legitimate business opportunity with a clear path to profitability makes for an attractive offering to bankers and lending institutions (Including our program financial partners). Our partners are no exception. Impatience in "getting it right" is not helpful. As the partners are committed to providing affordable financing, it is also imperative that clients commit to doing the work necessary to make a success of the enterprise. It starts in Phase I. In other words, Phase I must be satisfactorily completed before proceeding to Phase II. To start the process, an aspiring exporter must register in Export Path and go through the evaluative process in Phase I.
